Our July guest was AJ Kelton (SL- AJ Brooks)
AJ brought his extensive knowledge of virtual environments to our stage. No topic was too big or small As someone who has used virtual environments on the collegiate level, AJ brought us many important insights. One of the more memorable ones is that we need to make sure the content is there first, and not get lost in the technology buzzers and whistles that VE's can bring out.
A little bit about our guest: AJ Kelton is the Director of Emerging Instructional Technology for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Montclair State University in New Jersey. He has presented and been published on the topic of Second Life in education both in the U.S. and Internationally. AJ founded EDUCAUSE's Virtual Worlds Constituent Group and co-founded the Games and Learning Constituent Group, as well as being the Founder and Chief Moderator of the Virtual Worlds Education Roundtable (http://www.vwer.org),
